The claim that the United States has had Muslim presidents is incorrect. According to a detailed analysis by the Pew Research Center, almost all U.S. presidents have been Christians, with many being Episcopalians or Presbyterians. The only exceptions are Thomas Jefferson and Abraham Lincoln, who had no formal religious affiliation, and a few others who were non-denominational Christians. Barack Obama, who has been falsely claimed to be Muslim, was raised in a nonreligious household and later converted to Christianity, attending the United Church of Christ. Therefore, there have been no Muslim presidents in U.S. history Pew Research Center.
